To support Access to Justice for All by recruiting volunteer lawyers to provide legal information, advice, and representation in civil legal matters to low-income persons who are residents of Lake, Porter, Jasper, & Newton Counties. ( For information for other counties: Indiana Pro Bono Commission )
For Applicants: We screen for eligibility, provide immediate legal advice, information or referrals to other agencies, and, where appropriate, refer applicants to a volunteer attorney for further legal services - civil cases only. NOTE: YOU MUST RESIDE IN LAKE, PORTER, JASPER, OR NEWTON COUNTY of Indiana. If you do not, please ask for assistance from the legal aid or pro bono project that serves the county that you do live in.
PLEASE NOTE: Our volunteer attorneys cannot assist persons who are incarcerated.
